This role requires a wide variety of strengths and capabilities, including:

• BS/BA degree or equivalent experience
• Advanced knowledge of application, data, and infrastructure architecture disciplines
• Understanding of architecture and design across all systems
• Working proficiency in developmental toolsets
• Knowledge of industry-wide technology trends and best practices
• Ability to work in large, collaborative teams to achieve organizational goals
• Passionate about building an innovative culture
• Proficiency in one or more modern programming languages
• Understanding of software skills such as business analysis, development, maintenance, and software improvement
• 5+ years or more of professional experience
• Big Data experience is a nice to have
• 3-5 years of Java experience
• Strong OO skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication and presentation skills
• Strong business analysis skills
• Agile/Scrum methodology
• Experience with big data stack -- Spark, Hadoop, Hive, Hbase, Impala, Kafka, Cloudera/Hortonworks is a plus
• Experience with database technologies - Oracle/MySQL, Cassandra
• Experience with Languages - Java (main skill set), Scala, Python
• Familiar with development tools such as Eclipse, Git/Bitbucket, Sqldeveloper/Toad, JIRA etc
• Familiar with Agile methodologies such as SCRUM
• Good to have knowledge of building Rest API (microservices) with Spring, Spring boot
• Good to have knowledge in cloud computing

Responsibilites:

• Develop software using Big Data technologies
• Fine tune application performance
• Troubleshoot and resolve data processing issues
• Engage with various team for software delivery
• Build, maintain and execute unit test cases with high code coverage
