Job Description:

P&A Overview: The Planning & Analysis Group is responsible for partnering within the business and across the firm to provide financial and strategic analysis,central oversight and coordination of firmwide budgeting and forecasting,macroeconomic scenario design and distribution, and strategic programmanagement and execution. This includes oversight for firmwide reporting across all four lines of business (LOB): Corporate and Investment Bank (CIB),Asset Management (AM), Consumer and Community Banking (CCB) and Commercial Bank(CB). Additionally, P&A helps drive and improve automation,simplification of processes and the enhancement of analytics. These roles primarily support the strategic analysis of our financial planning framework,in addition to partnering closely with LOB business teams and functions for core financial reporting, process improvement, ad-hoc analysis and due diligence.

Team overview:CCB Analytics is a dynamic team that directly supports the CCB CFO. The team provides financial analyses and perspective to senior management, which support decision-making on high-profile, topical issues. In partnership with strategy and finance teams across the CCB businesses (i.e., Consumer Banking, BusinessBanking, Home Lending, Credit Card, and Auto), the team assists Investor Relations on workstreams leading to public disclosure associated with CCB's strategy,financial performance and industry trends, such as quarterly earnings, InvestorDay, and industry conferences. The team also manages the monthly/quarterly forecast process and annual budget/mid-year forecast analytics and reporting,and serves as the 'center of excellence' for competitive intelligence.

Responsibilities

The VP candidate will be an integral memberof the team, contributing to a variety of projects/workstreams:


  • Quarterly earnings and annual Investor Day - public disclosure, as well as back-up analytics and preparation materials
  • Preparation materials for senior management meetings with JPM investors/sellside analysts
  • Competitor analysis of peer disclosures during quarterly earnings and at industry conferences
  • Materials for monthly CCB leadership team meetings
  • Ad-hoc analytics and presentations for senior management

Qualifications

  • Must be a self-starter with a strong work ethic
  • Excellent analytical, critical thinking, and problem solving skills
  • Ability to multi-task, work well under pressure, and pick up new concepts quickly
  • Team-player with strong interpersonal skills
  • Exercise sound judgment and observe the highest degree of confidentiality
  • Ability to communicate effectively (both oral and written)
  • Organized with keen attention to detail
  • Ability to work effectively with senior management
  • Expert knowledge of Microsoft Office (PowerPoint and Excel)
  • 5+ years of experience
