Job Description:

The objective of JPMorgan Chase's Investor Relations ("IR") department is to provide clear and concise information about the firm to the investor community to assist them in making their investment decisions. Members of the IR team engage regularly with this community discussing the firm's strategy and performance. The team also communicates messages from the investor community to the firm's senior management. The IR team arranges and facilitates events between the investor community and senior management, including meetings, conferences and investor days. The team partners with the firm's Finance organization and other functions as well as with the lines of business, to prepare key external disclosures, including the quarterly earnings release and presentation, and conference and investor day presentations.

Responsibilities

The Executive Director will be an integral member of the Investor Relations team, reporting to the Head of Investor Relations, and will be responsible for the firm's communication of Environmental, Social and Governance ("ESG") topics to the investor community. Responsibilities include:



  • Serve as subject matter expert in ESG reporting for Investor Relations and be the primary point of contact for our sell-side analysts and investors

  • Partner frequently with senior members of the firm in other corporate functions and lines of business to execute IR responsibilities and build strong relationships across the firm
  • Act as a strong participant in establishing and data-driven ESG goals, milestones and metrics

  • Work with key stakeholders to develop and implement firm-wide plans for collecting, storing, validating and distributing ESG data and content for reporting and responding to requests from key stakeholders

  • Lead the regular dialogue with equity and fixed income investors, research analysts, raters and other external stakeholders to inform them about the firm's ESG strategy and disclosures

  • Collect and synthesize feedback from discussions with external stakeholders and communicate them to stakeholders internally to help drive ESG strategies

  • Prepare executive reports, presentations and communications to a variety of audiences and constituents including senior management on the firm's ESG strategy and performance

  • Maintain awareness of global ESG trends and tools, metrics and KPIs, and share updates and implications with internal ESG stakeholders

The work requires excellent communication and presentation skills, including PowerPoint, as well as a good understanding of performance drivers as it relates to ESG topics. The candidate will need to have a high level of maturity and confidence to handle significant day-to-day exposure to our firm's senior management. Also, given tight deadlines and multiple assignments, the candidate will need to be a self-starter and have excellent time management skills in order to be able to handle multiple requests simultaneously.

Qualifications


  • Degree required : Bachelor's degree required

  • Work experience: 5-10 years of professional work experience with a focus on ESG; Business Management, Corporate Finance, Investment Banking, Management Consulting or Internal Consulting, and/or Equity Research experience preferred

  • Problem solving skills: The candidate must have the ability to identify key issues, gather and analyze data to support hypotheses, and develop actionable recommendations. The candidate must demonstrate both deductive and inductive reasoning abilities, as well as a keen ability to quickly synthesize large amounts of information

  • Project management skills : The candidate must have the ability to clearly define projects (e.g., determine success metrics and key milestones) and establish required governance to move projects forward across a wide-ranging, diverse set of stakeholders

  • Communications skills : The candidate must be able to concisely and comprehensively explain complex analytics using MS Excel and PowerPoint. The candidate must possess strong written and oral executive-level communications skills, including being nimble enough to adapt messages and style based on different audiences and agendas

  • Client management & teamwork skills : The candidate must have a demonstrated track record of being flexible and working with stakeholders and colleagues at all experience levels

  • Entrepreneurial spirit : The candidate must have a track record of being a self-starter that seeks to break the status quo and initiate change
