Responsibilities

Dematic is seeking a dynamic thought leader in the area of Organization and Talent Strategy. This key role will partner closely with Dematic’s executive leadership to continually build an organization and talent strategy that creates a competitive advantage, enables continued growth and drives success for all stakeholders.

 

The Senior Director Organization and Talent Development will drive strategic organization and talent strategies which best positions Dematic to continue to gain market share by anticipating and meeting the strategic objectives of our customers.  This Executive Leadership role will have responsibility for the full talent cycle from talent acquisition to talent development supported by a direct team of 7+ members and a global talent development community.  The Senior Director Organization and Talent Development will utilize extensive experience to identify, create, and deliver innovative and pragmatic talent strategies.  This individual will be responsible for creating a high-performance culture including, organization design, strategic workforce planning, career planning, talent and succession planning, diversity & inclusion, engagement, and performance management.  The successful candidate will demonstrate the ability to motivate the workforce to achieve goals within an environment of excellence, by building exceptional talent capabilities. This role reports to the CHRO of Dematic.

 

Key Responsibilities:


  • Manage and execute Dematic’s “Moments that Matter People Strategy”

  • Drive organizational health and employee engagement strategy

  • Lead and promote diversity and inclusion

  • Develop HR for HR strategy to build competencies within the HR function

  • Lead talent strategies and plans related to critical roles, succession and key talent segments

  • Development and delivery of career path and programs that build critical skill sets (project management, solution development, sales, engineering, etc.)

  • Partner with executive team on the selection of key executive candidates

  • Facilitate executive team building sessions and new executive leader assimilations

  • Lead change management strategy

  • Special projects such as M&A or other complex topics

  • Assess organizational learning and development needs and identify / recommend solutions as needed

  • Provide tools and resources for organizational effectiveness and change readiness to HRBPs

  • Manage, monitor and measure key talent development metrics and KPIs

  • Champion initiatives that support the success of the organization’s growth and reinforce a collaborative, aligned, and engaged culture

  • Partner with the business on optimal approaches to achieving organizational performance as it relates to culture, values, and behaviors; establish and implement standards, processes and measures to support, assess and evaluate the agreed upon approach against talent priorities


Qualifications

Education & Experience Requirements:


  • 12+ years of directly applicable Human Resource Leadership experience in a global, fast paced, innovative, engineering / technology company

  • Advance degree, or equivalent, and relevant direct work experience required

  • Experience in as a Senior HR business partner or Generalist role

  • Excellent at presenting and storytelling

  • Highly pragmatic with bias for rolling up sleeves

  • Experience in complex, global organizations preferred

  • Demonstrated success building organization structure, culture and engagement

  • Deep knowledge in the areas of talent strategy and related components, competency models and their practical application, talent assessment and development, modern management practices, innovative working styles and leadership development program design and implementation.

  • Exceptional customer focus and ability to deliver results

  • Unquestioned integrity with assertiveness, presence, and confidence

  • Excellent influencing skills at all levels in the organization and competence in making timely, effective, principles-based decisions

  • Demonstrated strong analytic skills with a proven track record of using data and metrics to evaluate needs, drive change and measure impact

  • Experience developing and motivating a global team, as well as leading through organizational change. Must have change management leadership capabilities
