Director, Capital Strategy and Execution

Location:  Neenah, Wisconsin (remote may be considered)

SUMMARY OF POSITION: 

Provide senior level leadership to KCNA’s strategic capacity and footprint network including 3rd party manufacturers to ensure consistent product supply as required to support this $8 billion business.   Additionally, oversee KCNA’s capital Planning and Execution process. Work with the Business Units to balance programs to ensure that the right programs are included in the overall plan.

Provide leadership for footprint and capacity expansion programs in North America including leading a small team of direct reports that might expand as required to support approved projects.

Influence and collaborate with all Business Units and senior leadership team to make decisions and ensure excellent execution for capital plans.

ESSENTIAL ACCOUNTABILITIES:


  • Provide project control by designing scorecards and developing cadence of stakeholder reviews at all levels. Ensure readiness for external and internal audits by clearly defining and tracking key project governance elements, including decision authorization and auditing trials consistent with corporate CFIs.

  • Participating in all capacity and demand supply reviews. Assessing and challenging proposals by asking critical questions to optimize decisions and mitigate risks.

  • Working with the project leaders to understand the project details in support of successful project execution. Acting as sponsor to various project teams by eliminating barriers, influencing senior leaders, escalating when appropriate.

  • Coaching and developing direct teams and leaders across the Supply Chain teams.  

WORKING CONDITIONS:

  • Travel up to 20% of the work time. Travel may also include business travels via aircrafts and motor vehicles to various locations.

QUALIFICATIONS

Basic Qualifications


  • BA in Supply Chain, Engineering, Business, or equivalent experience.

  • 15-20 years of broad experience in Supply Chain with success of completing multiple assignments in both staff and manufacturing environment.

  • Must be confident and willing to challenge and to ask critical questions in front of senior leaders.

  • Technical awareness of the project, ideally with engineering background from either formal education or work experience.

  • Excellent project management skills.

  • Excellent communication, collaboration and influencing skills.

  • Sound judgment and diagnostic skills.

  • Understand matrixed organization and hierarchy.

  • Demonstrated ability to organize and lead by influence a multi-functional team and foster a proactive team environment.

  • Demonstrated strategic and critical thinking as well as direction setting skills.

  • Proven communication skills and aptness to inspire a broad audience (R&E, Operations, Sales, Marketing, varying levels, etc.).

  • Fluent in English.

Preferred Qualifications


  • Masters Degree in Supply Chain or Operations Management.

  • Demonstrated experience/knowledge in Manufacturing OPEX, Six Sigma, IBP (Integrated Business Planning), Cost Transformation.
