Business Manager, Services Division
Role
Management Concepts is seeking a Business Manager to join our growing Services team! The Business Manager is a highly visible role and a key contributor to the Services department, supporting multiple operational activities and ensuring overall organizational success by contributing to team productivity and processes that improve professional services delivery timeliness, effectiveness and client outcomes.
The Business Manager institutes internal process improvements to the Services department, fosters team building and information sharing across business units, develops, contributes to and/or delivers Services enablement assets and content such as knowledge sharing tools, process improvements, performance reports, briefings, thought leadership and communications. Assists with coordinating Services team activities and communications with various internal partners including Human Resources, Marketing, Information Technology, Accounting, Sales/Business Development, Learning Development and Product Development. Contributes to Management Concepts overall strategic goals, initiatives and proposal-writing, as needed. Reports to and takes leadership direction from the VP of Services. The Business Manager is a non-supervisory role but has the potential for additional resource support as the Services department achieves growth targets.
Basic Qualifications
5+ years of experience with general management or program management in a professional services organization, including business operations, project management, human resources, and marketing
We seek candidates who have an exceptional ability to collaborate, influence teams and drive complex decisions across multiple departments; who are highly analytical in their approach to problem-solving, and who have superior communications and interpersonal skills.
Experience with monthly and quarterly business reviews and forecasts of financial performance toward budget and operational goals
Knowledge of government contracts, policies and acquisition processes
Knowledge of Microsoft Office, including PowerPoint, Excel, Project and Visio
College degree (B.A. or B.S.)
Additional Qualifications
Advanced degree (MBA)
Experience with government proposal writing.
Familiarity with professional development and human capital practices within the federal government is helpful. Knowledge of the ISD ADDIE model (analysis, design, development, delivery, and evaluation) and the development of custom training content is helpful
Ability to pay strict attention to detail
Ability to shift priorities as needed in order to drive toward both short-term priorities and long-term goals
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Ability to effectively engage with employees at all levels and roles in the organization
Ability to work effectively in a remote or onsite office environment. The position is temporarily remote until onsite work resumes. Once onsite work resumes the individual in this role must have the ability to be onsite for scheduled Office Days, training, team building, and networking activities as requested.
