Job Summary & Responsibilities
This position plays a key role supporting many aspects of Nevro's compliance program, including identifying and mitigating risk though the design, implementation, and execution of Nevro's healthcare compliance program to ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations. This position is based in Redwood City, CA at Nevro's headquarters and reports to Nevro's Compliance Manager. Responsibilities of this role include:


  • Assist with implementation, administration, and management of company's corporate compliance program.

  • Assist with US and international transparency reporting efforts to ensure accurate and timely reporting of HCP spends under Sunshine/Open Payments disclosure laws.

  • Manage company's compliance software system, MediSpend, to ensure all required information is properly captured, remediated, reconciled, and reported for compliance purposes.

  • Helps perform onsite audit and monitoring of company sponsored events; and assist in designing compliance training. Monitors compliance with applicable policies and procedures.

  • Review, and manage Healthcare Provider (HCP) consulting agreements for qualifications, background/exclusion checks, and Fair Market Value compensation.

  • Review consulting payments, educational grants, sponsorships, and exhibit requests related to HCPs.

  • Assist with the administration of the company's data privacy program.

  • Assist with routine updates of compliance policies, procedures and processes.

  • Address questions and provide guidance to employees on compliance-related policies and procedures.

  • Support the Company's adoption of tools and technologies that support the Global Compliance Program.

  • Work collaboratively with other functions (e.g. HR, Audit and Finance) and other key stakeholders to appropriately document and respond to compliance issues; and,

  • Conduct vendor due diligence.

  • Update and modify compliance policies and practices to stay abreast with industry law and company needs.

  • Provide administrative support to the compliance team.

  • Perform other duties as assigned.



Role Requirements

  • BA/BS, and Compliance Certification Preferred

  • Equivalent work experience may be substituted for education requirement



Skills and Knowledge

  • 2+ years of professional experience, and at least 1 year of relevant compliance experience within the life sciences industry (med-device preferred)

  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills and strong proficiency using MS Word and PowerPoint.

  • Experience working with large data sets, spread sheets, and aggregating and analyzing such data.

  • Ability to multitask with excellent attention to detail.

  • Ability to be flexible and adaptable to changes.

  • Ability to establish good relationships with internal and external partners.

  • Strong organization, communication, and presentation skills with the ability to support internal and external customers

  • Embodies company values of passion, grit, accountability, integrity, and a founder's mentality.

  • Experience working with Sunshine Act/Open Payments transparency preferred.

  • Strong meeting and project management skills.

  • Experience working cross-functionally with the Financial and Commercial teams, and with financial systems (Concur, and QAD preferred).
