JOB DUTIES:

Sr. AI/Data Science Engineer for Medtronic, Inc. at its facility in Northridge, CA. Designs, develops and maintains secure platforms for analytics & data science algorithms that support diabetes applications. Optimize security, robustness, scalability, performance and cost to build and develop data driven products with prediction and forecasting capabilities. Apply artificial intelligence technologies including Neural Network, CNN, LSTM to develop predictive models. Develop mobile application including algorithm design and UI design. Improve the analytics on big scale dataset using tools to include Hadoop, Storm. Utilize machine learning and statistical modelling for disease management systems using Python or Matlab. Works on physiological modeling and application using Ordinary Differential Equation. Develops insulin dosing control algorithms using Control Theory. Provides business intelligence and analytics including product outcome, utilization and attrition analysis. Accelerates the deployment of machine learning applications through docker. Understands public cloud environments, including AWS, Azure or GCP. Works on queries in relational database, including Oracle SQL or MySQL. Designs, develops, tests and maintains web backend using Matlab and Python. Designs, develops, tests and maintains web frontend using HMTL, Javascript and CSS. Navigates the complexities of the medical device environment including FDA regulations and (ISO) 13485.

REQUIREMENTS:

Master's Degree in Biomedical Engineering, Applied Mathematics, Systems and Information Engineering or a closely related field and 2 years of experience in data mining and two (2) years of post-bachelor's progressive experience in all of the following: Machine Learning and statistical modelling; Physiological modeling; Control Theory; Business intelligence and analytics using Matlab, Python and Tableau; CICD tools including Docker; Public cloud environments to include AWS; Relational database technologies to include Oracle SQL and MySQL; Web backend technologies to include pythonic frameworks; Web frontend technologies to include responsive web development, Angular and Bootstrap; FDA medical device regulations and ISO13485.
