Job Summary

Responsible for assessing, planning, and enacting security measure to help protect the enterprise from security breaches and attacks on its computer network and systems. The Cyber Security Analyst I will identify cyber security risks, protect critical infrastructure services, detect cyber security events, respond to potential events, and recover from any potential cyber security incidents.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Monitor, tune, and optimize existing and future security solutions (AV, Firewalls, Mail Filtering, Network, AI Cyber Defense, SIEM…)

• Follow the cyber security incident response plan to analyze, triage, and coordinate response to potential security incidents.

• Respond to internal customer requests for technical and cyber security assistance in a timely manner with IT security policies, procedures, guidelines, and standards.

• Assist with strategy and technology road map for our cybersecurity program.

• Participate in design review meetings to ensure security best practices are followed.

• Consult with internal teams on architecture and system designs.

• Ensure cybersecurity risks and vulnerabilities are logged, analyzed, and vetted.

• Recommend and participate in the design and implementation of standards, tools, and methodologies.

• Research, analyze, and report new vulnerabilities like zero day, CVEs, and other network vulnerabilities.

• Stay current with industry trends by identifying and researching new technologies.

• Perform work on and lead IT projects.

• Conduct training on processes for IT staff and end users.

• Create and maintain IT cyber security process and policy documentation.

• Participate and lead penetration testing and risk assessment.

• Provide after-hours coverage following on call rotation.

• Perform other duties as assigned.

Education & Experience

• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Security, or related field preferred.

• Technical certifications in Network +, Security +, CySA+, CEH and CISSP preferred.

• 4+ years of experience in information security

Qualifications List

• Knowledge of firewalls, antivirus, IDPS, and SEIM concepts

• Strong understanding of internet protocols, including TCP/IP, UDP, SSH, SFTP, SSL/TLS, SNMP, SMTP, HTTP, and HTTPS

• Experience with and proficiency in network communication concepts and principles.

• Excellent computer hardware/software problem solving skills.

• Excellent oral and written communication skills.

• Excellent organizational and time management skills.
