Position Summary
Oversees the Nuclear Power Plant security system including related computer systems and hardware, camera system and perimeter intrusion detection system.
To obtain and maintain employment and unescorted access at DCPP, you must be able to pass a drug and alcohol screen, a security background check, psychological screen, computer-based training, and be subject to random drug and alcohol screening
Job Responsibilities
Oversees the Nuclear Power Plant's security system including related computer systems and hardware, camera system and perimeter intrusion detection system.
Leads deployment of new system applications and hardware.
Acts as lead in project implementation when appropriate.
Oversees the implementation of the locks and keys program and ensures preventative maintenance is conducted on system hardware.
Coordinates purchasing of security system equipment.
Models and reinforces management expectations and engaging Alarm Station Operators and Security Shift Supervision.
Evaluates and provides feedback on instructional techniques, plans, and training materials prepared by instructors, such as outlines, text, handouts, training processes, and interpretation of test results and post training evaluations for Security Systems and Alarm Station Operators.
Serves as the point of escalation for the most complex system administration problems; is a troubleshooting resource for others.
Serves as the most senior level technical expert on the team.
Often serves as a technical coach, trainer, or mentor for others.
Qualifications
Minimum:
High School or GED-General Educational Development-GED Diploma
Requires a minimum of seven years of experience as a Nuclear Security Systems Administrator or equivalent
Expected to have certificates appropriate to technology being supported, or equivalent recognition
Desired:
Experience in nuclear security, 10 years
Computer programming experience, i.e. SQL server
Ability to respond effectively in a dynamic, high pressure environment
Project lead and consulting experience
Ability to organize multiple assignments, often of a complex nature or involving competing priorities, to produce work products that are accurate, thorough, and on time in a dynamic environment
