Schaeffler, a global automotive and industrial supplier, is seeking a Senior Technician- Facilities and Energy at our Fort Mill, SC Plant 3 facility. This position is responsible for managing and repairing all areas of Fort Mill Plant 1. Coordinate in a manner causing minimum loss of production and maximizing operating efficiency while maintaining all safety and cleanliness standard .
Key responsibilities include:
Coordinate mechanic or electrician for facilities tasks;
Ensure all units of all plant facilities are operating i.e. Central Systems, HVAC, Chillers Systems, Air compressors;
Determine best practices and follow through with the retrieval and repair of spare parts for facilities;
Ensure that all health and safety workplace practices are adhered to, that all safety equipment is properly utilized as required;
Communicate daily with colleagues on energy expectations and their task lists;
Update information on the Schaeffler Systems about energy management and consumption
Download information from the energy meters; analyze and evlaute next steps if action is needed regarding consumption
Create workshops on energy consumption, energy saving, and best practices for Fort Mill 1;
Coordinate contractor's task with approved POs for each, follow up on the progress and invoices;
Ensure that contractors are adhereing to company policies and procedures and keeping updated documentations;
Qualified candidates will have:
Must have 2 years bachelor's degree or Equivalent Experience Science degree in Industrial Maintenance or Engineering;
Must be able to read & interpret electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and mechanical drawings for equipment and troubleshooting;
Ability to interface professionally with vendors, associates, and management.
Working knowledge of moderately complex electronic/mechanical applications used in various types of equipment.
Ability to analyze and use blueprints drawings, schematics and machines specifications.
Ability to develop machines specifications and repair procedures.
Good reading, writing and advance skills, with the ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
Must is able to work in a disciplined, structured environment on repetitive tasks.
