Schaeffler, a global automotive and industrial supplier, is seeking a Controlling Specialist to support our facility in Fort Mill, SC. This position is responsible for supporting the North American Automotive Business Division controlling activities.
Key responsibilities include but not limited to:
Ensure timely and accurate delivery of reporting data
Prepare and/or develop sales forecast and financial reports for the Sales department and Executive management, review and analyze trends to identify large deviations (Price, volume, margin)
Run, improve and modify various reports related but not limited to sales, cost, profitability, overhead, inventory, orders on-hand, past due receivables
Work on special projects aiming continuous improvement and reporting streamlining
Support the preparation of all regional and global business reviews, and other financial meetings
Support all relevant the month end closing activities such as responsibility for the Business Division accrual process
Support project controlling activities such as setting up of new projects, preparing affiliate charge back, monitoring project expenses to support the project management team, as well as all activities ensuring compliance with IFRS rules and regulations
Be responsible for monitoring and executing diverse cross charging activities
Supports in the preparation of the yearly budgeting process including but not limited to, sales planning, project planning, overhead planning, intercompany planning
Support in project profitability analysis to support quotation or business award process
All other tasks required to support the management and internal customers in effective and timely decision making
Qualified candidates will have:
Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance or Business
3 to 5 years experience in corporate finance, controlling or accounting
Experience with SAP EP1
Must be a creative hands-on individual who has excellent communication, presentation, leadership and interpersonal skills at the highest level of the organization
Must possess well developed problem-solving skills/analytical, solid organizational skills
Strong PC skills including advanced Excel (including macros, pivots and analysis tool) and PowerPoint
Ability to review a problem and recommend appropriate solutions
Ability to maintain confidentiality
Ability to work under high pressure while maintaining a strong sense of attention to details
Ability to demonstrate strong initiatives and good work ethics
