Title: Director Cyber Security

Trimble is looking for a Director Cyber Security to join our fast moving, globally diverse, entrepreneurial company. Trimble has a history of exceptional growth coupled with a disciplined and strategic focus on advanced technology.

As a recognized leader in Cyber Security, you will lead our multi-business unit Construction Management sector in securing its products, enterprise systems and personal data, while establishing and maintaining related best practices. This position will have direct visibility to senior executives, and will have a very strategic impact leading the Cyber Security process. We are looking for someone who has a "roll up your sleeves" attitude that works well with top level executives.

What you need to Succeed in this Role:

• Fantastic communication skills, working with business leaders, executives, professionals and external customer base




• Ability to translate technical Security requirements and best practices to non-technical leaders.




• Deep understanding of Cyber Security best practices.




• Knowledge and understanding of Data Privacy best practices.




• History of implementing data loss prevention tooling and sensitive data handling practices

As our Cyber Security leader you will:

• Develop data centric protection schemes and data loss prevention processes and technologies




• Maintain the strategic view of security initiative across the division




• Perform security architecture reviews of Trimble developed existing and next gen products.




• Investigate and implement software solutions for security issues




• Work alongside development teams, site reliability engineers and operational teams to ensure Trimble products have appropriate security controls and security processes are in place and operating effectively.




• Formulate and distribute frameworks, best practices and design patterns to apply across the product landscape.




• Formulate, distribute, and oversee sustainable frameworks and best practices around data privacy and data protection.




• Provide remediation support and guidance to teams as a part of the business lifecycle




• Advise and assist in the development of customer value propositions related to cyber security and data privacy.




• Interface with customers to explain and document security processes.

Education, Skills and Experience Required

• 4 years experience in a security role




• 2+ years management/leadership experience




• 2 years experience and deep understanding of cloud security (AWS, Azure & GCP)




• 2 years operating data loss prevention tools




• Hands on experience in software development security tools




• Working knowledge of data privacy and data protection best practices

Preferred Skills and Experience

• Security certifications (CISSP, CEH, GSEC, GCIA...)




• Deep understanding of privacy regulations (GDPR, CCPA...)




• Bachelor degree in information assurance, computer science or management of information systems.

Pay Equity

Trimble provides the following compensation range and general description of other compensation and benefits that it in good faith believes it might pay and/or offer for this position. This compensation range is based on a full time schedule. Trimble reserves the right to ultimately pay more or less than the posted range and offer additional benefits and other compensation, depending on circumstances not related to an applicant's sex or other status protected by local, state or federal law.

Hiring Range: $139,800 - $200,000
