Exciting opportunity to join Brigham and Women's Hospital as a valued Primary Care Physician who will alsoassume the role of Pediatric Medical Director for 3 practices with pediatrics.
We are an academic med-peds primary care practice that is based in Coolidge Corner in Brookline.
We currently have 5 med-peds faculty at the practice and have a diverse patient population.
All of our residents have their continuity clinic at our site so every faculty member is involved withteaching and precepting in some way. There are additional opportunities to get involved in teaching at themedical school.
Our mission is focused on compassionate, high-quality, team-based care for all patients and families witha particular focus on vulnerable populations. Many of our patients are Spanish speaking, many haveMedicare or Medicaid as their primary insurance. Racial Justice and Health Equity are core tenants in ourclinic. Teaching is another primary mission for us.
We have a team-based care model as a Patient-Centered Medical Home with a social worker, integratedbehavioral health, RNs, population health coordinators, patient navigators, high-risk RN casemanagement, non-face to face visits with support of My Chart and/or RN phone calls
Serve as the lead physician for pediatric medical care including representing BWH pediatrics onvarious working groups. committees and board meetings
Oversite of the clinical practice of the BWH pediatric providers and pediatric medical directors
Maintain the on-call schedule and protocols for the BWH primary pediatric practice group,and/or appoint a delegate
Disseminate resources for pediatric continuing medical education (CME) and maintenance ofcertification (MOC) to the BWH pediatric providers
Mentor the BWH primary pediatric providers on scholarly activities and academic promotion
Serve as the lead physician for pediatric population health
Our PCPs see a complete range of pediatric and adult patients across all demographics and diseases andconditions. This position will allow the provider to focus on the care of young adults who transition from pediatricto adult-centered medical care. As such, there will be an opportunity to build collaboration with Boston Children'sHospital in innovative care models to transition young adults to BWH. We offer:

Depending upon the position, there may be teaching responsibilities to satisfy Harvard Medical Schoolrequirements. To maintain an academic position at Harvard Medical School one must complete at least 50 hours ofteaching per academic year.
Qualifications
MED PED Board certified
Mass MD License
Experience as a MED PED Primary Care Physician
Some leadership experience or a leadership track
Commitment to Racial Justice and Health Equity
Able to work 4-5 clinical sessions per week + 2 leadership sessions per week position is outpatient only with weekday hours and possible evenings and/or weekend coverage in thefuture
Outstanding call schedule with shared phone call after hours combined with RN triage assistance
Must have interest in teaching Medicine-Pediatrics residents
Spanish language skills a plus
