Quality Specialist

Your task structure

Summary:

The Quality Specialist role is to deliver business support to employees and management regarding our Quality Management System. Involves all aspects of support including business analysis, process improvement, reporting, strategy, systems development, planning and implementation. This position will become responsible for the execution and maintenance of BYK USA's Quality Management System.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Planning and execution of Internal and External 9001 Audits


• Coordination of customer and supplier audits


• Quality KPI design, monitoring and analytics


• Participate in the Global Quality Management organization


• Report to top management on the performance of the Integrated Management System, including the need for improvement and facilitate the Management Reviews


• Support root causes analysis of process deviations (e.g. Complaints) and corrective measures


• Coordinate and support certification of ISO 14001


• Project Management of cross functional / cross regional projects


• Review and understand customer requirements and cross check internal capabilities for a solution


• Maintain the Internal Document Management System according to global company standards


• Internal consultant for projects and special requests

Your recipe for success

Qualifications:

• 3-5 years of experience in Quality Management (9001) or Continuous Improvement


• Experience with management systems and process management in industrial environment (chemical, metal, automotive, food contact, aerospace) a plus


• Strong negotiation, problem solving and decision-making skills.


• Bachelor's degree in Technical / Quality or business management, or related field. MBA helpful


• Must have a flexible work schedule and open to occasional travel

Skills and Essential Functions:

• Ability to work independently and flexibly with good networking and communication skills


• Must have strong computer skills - Proficient in the use of Office 365, specially Excel


• ETQ Reliance experience a plus


• Solid understanding of ISO 9001


• Knowledge of Automotive industrial standard a plus


• Knowledge of ISO 14001 helpful


• Competent in problem solving tools (e.g. 5 Why, Fishbone, 8D) and risk management tools (e.g. FMEA, MSA)


• Ability to communicate in a professional manner both written and orally with individuals at all levels of the organization, customers, and suppliers


• Strong proactivity, influence, and coaching skills


• Project management and continuous improvement skills


• Good attention to detail. Scientific spirit


• Capable to move from high level picture to the details in a global understanding


• Capable and open to train other employees
