The OU Marketing and Communications Web Team is seeking a versatile web specialist to support OU’s content management system. This is the perfect role for a dynamic individual who can help others deliver their message and content via the web. You will work with a dedicated team helping campus users, deploying web content, and delivering new features for OU’s content management system. This role requires the ability to convey application concepts into instructions for users of varying skill levels.
-Manage the migration and redesign of University websites into the content management system by working closely with campus departments as well as internal design, technical and content teams
-Drive project goals and timelines while maintaining a high level of customer service
-Gather requirements and work with internal team to problem solve and coordinate creative solutions which may not always have a precedent
-Coordinate design, development and content resources to produce a quality and functional website
-Foster and promote adaptive, strategic solutions with departments, including content sharing across multiple channels. Consulting with faculty and staff on instructional and media technologies, instructional design and delivery, and on media productions
-Balance college and departmental expectations with University guidelines, best practices, campus initiatives, and web development trends
-Ensure websites meet OU web guidelines, accesibility standards and SEO best practices
-Providing on-call support and problem resolution for computer applications; interpreting policies and procedures effectively to guide self and others
-Analyzing, categorizing, and prioritizing service requests
-Provide departments with tools, training and resources they need to successfully manage their website
-Serving as a liaison to other University departments, external agencies, vendors or service providers
-Work well with customers and members of a diverse project team
-Conducting presentations and formal courses on applications and system operations; training users as well as developing documentation and instructional materials
-Promote office initiatives and goals
-Other duties as assigned
