Job Description:

The Payroll Specialist is responsible for ensuring accurate processing and recording of the company’s payroll and providing timely and accurate financial information to various departments.

Job Duties:


  • Perform daily payroll department operations.

  • Manage workflow to ensure all payroll transactions are processed accurately and timely; reconcile payroll prior to transmission and validate confirmed reports.

  • Execute time and attendance processing and interface with payroll.

  • Support processing accurate and timely year-end reporting.

  • Support addressing and resolving payroll problems with employees.

  • Support developing ad hoc financial and operational reporting as needed; maintain financial historical records by filing accounting documents.

Knowledge Skills & Abilities Required:


  • High School Diploma.

  • Four to six years of experience processing multi-state payroll.

  • Business Intelligence experience.

  • Strong knowledge of federal and state regulations.

  • Knowledge of Ultipro software and UTM.

  • Ability to deal sensitively with confidential material.

  • Decision-making, problem-solving, organizational and analytical skills.

  • Working knowledge of payroll best practices.

  • Working knowledge of Windows environment and Microsoft Office products.

Required


  • 4 - 6 years: Four to six years of experience processing multi-state payroll.

Education

  • High School or better
