Your new responsibilities OVERALL POSITION PURPOSE: Participate in and contribute to lean improvement activities, looking at safety, quality, delivery, productivity, cost and efficiency, while delivering benefits to support our customer's satisfaction with the products produced. CORE TASKS:Completes process mapping, value stream mapping, and identifying inefficiencies in productivity. Recommends to management, changes that can cut waste from current operating procedures. Performs Kaizen events to continuously improve the manufacturing efficiency, set up, layout and flow. Demonstrate performance excellence behaviors within the business and champion performance excellence initiatives. Supports the business in establishing "best practice" manufacturing techniques. Analyze current work practices to identify areas for improvement and educate as to how to improve the business and manufacturing processes. Educates workforce and drives the implementation of 6s and continuous improvement culture throughout manufacturing. Participate and add value as a member of the TKAS Management Team. Engages in effective communication within and across all departments. Participate in Company Safety Program through safety meetings, audits, following good safe work practices and maintaining a safety and clean work environment. Commitment to quality by meeting and exceeding our customer expectations and continuously improve our quality management system and their processes to create value for customers, employees, and shareholders. What we look for Proficient in SAP, AutoCAD, and MS Office.Ability to implement standard work, visual factory and error proofing procedures (poka-yoke, etc.)Ability to undertake continuous improvement / lean training and development.Ability to perform root cause analysis and resolve problems.Ability to carry out time and motion studies to support productivity improvements.Must be able to use logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions or approaches to problems.Proficient in data collection, interpretation, analysis and report writing.Ability to identify complex problems and review related information to develop and evaluate options and implement solutions.Monitoring/assessing performance of manufacturing processes to make improvements or take corrective action.Must be able to work independently, making sound decisions utilizing good judgement.
