Are you reliable? Do you have a keen eye for detail? We are looking for a skilled Maintenance Technician to perform upkeep tasks such as repairs and cleaning. You will be responsible for applying basic fixes to equipment and building systems and ensure facilities are tidy and functional. The ideal candidate will have experience and solid technical knowledge. You must possess manual dexterity and physical stamina.
Open Door Mission is a gospel rescue mission, serving the Greater Omaha Area by providing short-term and long-term shelter, life-changing programs addressing root causes of homelessness and poverty, and homeless prevention resources to those in need.
YOU ARE A SOLID FIT FOR THIS POSITION IF:
You have a visible relationship with Christ and regularly attend a local Christian Church.
You have more than one year of construction or facility maintenance experience.
You have the ability to share the gospel as opportunities arise.
You are proficient with Google G -Suite and general computer operations.
You have a valid Driver's License.
You are comfortable with COVID-19 sanitizing assistance, including wearing proper PPE.
OUR IDEA OF A PERFECT CANDIDATE IS SOMEONE WHO:
Has a Licensed HVAC Certification, or 2-3 years of experience
Has at least 2 years of plumbing experience
Has at least 2 years of construction or facility management experience.
Has at least 2 years of small engine or vehicle mechanics experience.
THIS ROLE WILL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR:
Weekly sanitizing of surfaces and rooms.
Being readily available (via phone/email) for urgent maintenance requests.
Snow Removal during the winter season.
Monitoring material and janitorial supplies.

This shift may require work beyond the normal hours and on holidays.
Standard Shift: 8:30am-5:00pm, with alternating half-day Saturdays (usually once a month)
