As a Senior Manager, you'll work as part of a team helping to solve complex business issues, from strategy to execution. This will include engagement in the delivery cycle where you will proactively evaluate and maintain the health of production environments across multiple lines of business. Must have a technology, or engineering background and 3+ years of overall progressive experience managing teams in e-commerce software applications, which includes the following skill sets:


  • Manage and lead application reliability practices based on current production support industry trends for consumer facing experiences

  • Utilizes develop experience to assist the team in resolving issues when needed & accountable for driving production optimization with delivery teams including timely implementation based on need

  • Develop, validate and automate real time monitoring solutions that provide visibility into site health and functional metrics for ongoing operational excellence & continuous improvement

Ideal candidate will have the ability to:


  • Deliver on metric commitments while always keeping end-user productivity requirements/needs in mind as paramount to your success

  • Must have the ability to understand business requirements and rapidly translate that into technical solutions.

  • Adapt and be nimble in a fast paced agile environment across more than 6 ARTs

  • Coach others, recognize their strengths, and encourage them to take ownership of their personal development.

  • Analyze complex ideas or proposals and build a range of meaningful recommendations. Use multiple sources of information including broader stakeholder views to develop solutions and recommendations

  • Develop a point of view on key global trends, and how they impact clients. Manage a variety of viewpoints to build consensus and create positive outcomes for all parties and partner with the delivery teams to prioritize and execute work

  • Ability to develop short and long-term plans of action, understands problems from a broad perspective and uses conventional and unconventional reasoning to discern underlying principles and issues to create innovative solutions

  • Is an active listener & be a voice of reason is key when listening to technician/end-user feedback and translating it to applicable development requirements

  • Customer relationship skills including the ability to discover the true requirements of customers, recommend alternative technical and business solutions, and lead efforts to meet aggressive timelines with optimal solutions

  • Ability to build and maintain strong relationships with business partners and other IT teams; including the ability to collaborate and influence others within IT and across the organization

  • Must be an independent thinker with strong problem-solving skills

Daily Responsibilities are:

  • Utilize your expertise in full stack application support to provide meaningful site health and performance metrics, that will continuously drive reliability and consumer experience improvements

  • Effectively work across teams to proactively identify and troubleshoot incidents within the stack (consumer and non-consumer facing)

  • Manage the application support team that provides day-to day operational activities in a dynamic global 24x7 environment (on and offshore)

  • Enable and lead the critical incident and problem management process where candidate will engage appropriate colleagues, vendors, and leadership teams to restore service, manage root cause analysis and recommend solutions for long term fix

  • Engage with the delivery teams during product launches and releases, prepare reports for management, identify risks/solutions, and make recommendations for continual improvement

  • Manage the team’s deliverables and enhancement via Kanban process driving steering ownership of long term solutions to the delivery teams

  • Demonstrate clear & concise communication skills and the ability to drive continuous performance improvements with the stakeholders, vendors and technology subject matter specialists

  • Engage in design and architecture design and review calls to ensure platform is a stable, reliable secure and high performing; Refining requirements, self-identifying solutions and communicating to the team

Technical/Educational Requirements:

Basic Qualifications:


  • Minimum Degree Required: Bachelor Degree Required Fields of Study: Computer and Information Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, Management Information Systems, Mathematics, Statistics

  • Minimum Years of Experience:
    • 5+ year('s) of Client Facing - Full Stack Consulting experience in an agile environment


Technical Knowledge/Skills:

Demonstrates thorough knowledge and/or a proven record of success in the following areas:


  • Critical application support in high-visibility line of business with downtime mitigation

  • Batch scheduling and stream process tuning

  • Performance monitoring & alerting tools: Splunk, Dynatrace, Tealeaf, Database monitoring (Solarwinds, IDERA) etc.

  • Relational database (Oracle/SQL) experience and query optimization

  • REST, microservice architecture, and middle tier business layer design patterns

  • ETL design and support (Informatica, Redshift, MSBI etc.)

  • Web application design and frameworks including use of recent JavaScript libraries
    • Knowledge on application set up in Web servers such as IIS, Apache Tomcat etc.; 


  • Redhat product suite (Fuse, Kafka) or other enterprise platform support

  • Linux, shell scripting and development tooling a plus

  • Working knowledge on Windows and Linux environments

    • Web applications deployment through CI/CD pipelines

    • Knowledge of deployment tools such as uDeploy, TFS etc



  • Middleware technologies Fuse; Hawtio and Redhat product suites

  • Reporting tool sets: SSRS, Tableau, etc

Nice to Haves:


  • Java, .NET or other development background

  • Cloud architecture (AWS preferred)

  • Hadoop, Snowflake or other big data experience

  • NoSQL datastores

  • Angular development experience

  • COBOL experience a plus

This position is not eligible to be performed in Colorado.
