Pennsylvania American Water is seeking an Equipment Operator to join our team in Scranton, PA! As an Equipment Operator, you will perform a variety of job tasks including operating machinery, driving a truck, and interacting with the public. The winning candidate will have strong communication skills, a safety-driven mindset, and the ability to work within a team environment.

Primary Role

Ability to operate all equipment necessary to maintain the sewer collection system

Key Accountabilities

Must have the ability to lead crews and physically install new sewer lines and repair old deficient sewer lines.

Have the ability to read and comprehend blue prints and elevations as it pertains to sewer

installation.

Knowledge/Skills

• Should have experience as a B operator and associated equipment must be knowledgeable in the installation of sewer lines and lateral spurs as well as repair procedures for the replacement of old and substandard sewer line pipe and spurs

Experience/Education

• High school diploma.


• Class B commercial drivers license CDL have excellent driving record
  
  high school diploma.

Work Environment

• Work in shop environment occasional field environment with some travel from site to site exposure to noise dust grease smoke fumes noxious odors gases and all types of weather and temperature conditions
