Perform quality inspections, dimensional and visual, on rolls:


  • Complete set-ups that are exacting and ensure rolls are categorized to very close tolerances.Â
  • Responsible for completing and reporting correct roller count and location of each category or rolls.Â
  • Responsible for close visual inspection, identification and removal of defect rolls.Â
  • Control surplus rolls and properly disposition non-conforming rolls.Â
  • Keep necessary records for each size, quantity and rejects.Â
  • Perform roll audits as needed.Â
  • Ensure all safety and housekeeping procedures are adhered to in the area.Â
  • Assist in other inspection or quality control areas.Â
  • Must be knowledgeable on all gauges used for sizing rolls (includes obtaining gauges and masters for set-ups).
  • Perform other tasks as requested by supervision.

 Minimum Requirements:

1) ÂDemonstrate understanding of gauging methods and tolerances to determine the acceptance of rollers.

2)Â Demonstrate the ability to understand size and tolerance requirements from roller drawings/prints.

3)Â Must be willing to work any shift and work overtime.
