Job Description:

The IT Support Specialist provides technical assistance and support throughout the organization
for issues related to computer systems, hardware, and software by responding to inquiries,
running diagnostics, isolating problems, and determining/implementing technical solutions. The
Help Desk Specialist is first-line support for resolving computer issues, system access problems,
and application support.

SUMMARY
• Support 100+ Windows Workstations, SIP soft phones and hard phones, including
installations, modifications, and computer hardware and software repairs.
• Support equipment moves, additions, staff floor moves, and other changes as needed.
• Use ticketing system to log all help desk interactions with employees.
• Respond to and resolve Help Desk tickets; conduct follow-up at required intervals until
issue is resolved.
• Work in partnership with all IT teams to find solutions, and/or escalate issues to
appropriate IT groups for resolution.
• Effectively prioritize and resolve work tickets by evaluating the problem's real or potential
impact on the user, systems, or business.
• Manage user accounts within Active Directory; new user creation, edit permissions,
disable and termination of accounts.
• Run diagnostics on hardware to determine cause of problem; recommend
replacement/repair, and provide hardware maintenance and support as needed.

REQUIREMENTS
• This position requires exemplary customer service skills, professionalism, and courtesy in
all interactions.
• Strong knowledge with hands-on experience using Microsoft Operating System: Active
Directory, User Profiles, & Permissions.
• Strong remote support skills phone and online and familiarity with remote support skills
• Ability to communicate technical information, both verbal and written, to a wide range of
end-users
• Ability to adapt and learn in a fast paced, changing environment
• Demonstrates strong customer service and analytical skills
• Physical demands: regular computer usage, typing, bending, squatting, lifting computer
equipment weighing up to 50 lbs.
