JOB PURPOSE AND IMPACT

The Portfolio Management Office (PMO) Leader will direct the strategic alignment, prioritization and execution of the Global Edible Oils North America (GEOS NA) Portfolio including ownership of the Integrated Business Planning (IBP) Product Management Review (PMR), Portfolio Review Team (PRT) reviews with senior management, and our pipeline of Accelerating Continuous Improvement (ACI) initiatives

 

The Portfolio Management Office Leader will lead projects and programs within a portfolio. In this role you will oversee and manage the operational aspects of ongoing projects, serving as liaison among project management and planning, project team and line management. We seek a professional who will lead staff that reviews the project proposal to determine time frame, funding limitations and procedures for accomplishing the project.

 

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES


  • Work with leadership team to develop, establish, implement and re-evaluate target portfolio aligned to corporate, enterprise, group, and business strategic goals. Ensure project portfolio aligns with strategic goals, clearly communicate progress relative to metrics, and work cross functionally to resolve gaps.

  • Identify and resolve obstacles to completing project on time and to budget.

  • Ensure team adheres to internal and external quality standards.

  • Oversee team members that monitor and report on the status of projects including cost, timing and staffing.

  • Lead project teams, assign individual responsibilities, develop project schedules and determine resource requirements.

  • Develop plans and deliver results in a fast-changing business or regulatory environment, while leading and developing a team of experienced professionals and supervisors, coaching and making decisions related to talent management hiring, performance and disciplinary actions. You will also collaborate with managers and supervisors in your organization to ensure staff selections align with current and future needs.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS


  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent experience

  • Minimum of six years of related work experience

  • Experience in project management, project delivery process and portfolio management.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS


  • Five or more years of direct supervisory experience.

  • Experience leading cross-functional teams. Proficient influencing and/or coaching employees at all levels of the organization.

  • Hold self and others accountable to meet commitments.

  • Know the most effective and efficient processes to get things done, focusing on continuous improvement.

  • Demonstrated successful management of significant spend projects and programs within a portfolio.

  • Experience in transformation, operational excellence and process improvement projects

  • Six Sigma Black Belt certification, PMI Project Management Professions (PMIP), or other relevant certification

Compensation

The expected salary for this position is $135,000-153,000. This position is eligible for a discretionary incentive award. The incentive award amount is dependent upon company performance and your personal performance.
