Cognizant is expanding its Global Internal Communications team to accelerate the company’s cadence of business and strategic communications for our global associates, drive employment engagement and retention, and elevate our diverse, dynamic and innovative culture through internal communication best practices and tools.
Job Description
The Director, Internal Communications will be a driving force creating and driving a comprehensive global communications strategy for the Chief People Officer (CPO). This person will lead communications for a variety of HR initiatives including career development, benefits programs, performance management, rewards and recognition, Diversity and Inclusion, and others. Additionally, the successful candidate will play a critical role in helping to engage and elevate our culture as we enter a new chapter in Cognizant’s history following a reorganization while simultaneously navigating dramatic changes in how we work – and the world works – in COVID’s wake.
The ideal candidate is a self-starter, strong team leader, thought leader in best practices for people communications, and experienced in working with C-Suite leadership. This person will understand how to convert employee communications strategies into measurable business results. And be fiercely collaborative and adept at juggling multiple projects, delivering on tight deadlines, and working occasional flex hours. This person will report to the Global Head of Internal Communications, with a second reporting line into the CPO.
