We are seeking a full-time Electronics Technician Intern for our world headquarters in Olathe, Kansas. In this role, you will be responsible for helping trace circuits of defective units, using knowledge of electronic theory and electronic test equipment to locate to the component level. Other essential functions include: 


  • Discuss layout and assembly problems with Electronics technicians and draw sketches to clarify design details and functional criteria of electronic units

  • Assemble experimental circuitry (breadboard) or complete prototype model according to engineering instructions, technical manuals and knowledge of electronic systems and components and their functions

  • Analyze and recommend basic changes in circuitry or installation specifications to improve assembly, maintenance, test method or product performance

  • Sets up standard test apparatus or contrive test equipment and circuitry and conduct functional, operational, environmental and life tests to evaluate performance and reliability of prototype or production products

  • Analyze and interpret test data

  • Adjust, calibrate, align and modify circuitry and components and record effects on unit performance

  • Record test/alignment procedures and results, defects, repair history, numerical and graphical data

  • Must possess the ability to lift up to 25 pounds while using safe lifting techniques

Qualified candidates must be pursuing an Associate of Arts degree in Electronics Technology or Vocational Certificate in Electronics Technology or a substantially related field. Other requirements include: 


  • Strong academics (GPA greater than or equal to 3.0 as a general rule)

  • Demonstrated strong and effective verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills

  • Must be team-oriented, possess a positive attitude and work well with others

  • Must demonstrate the ability to handle component level troubleshooting tasks

  • Requires the ability to lift up to 25 pounds while using safe lifting techniques


Previous electronics troubleshooting experience is highly preferred!
