The Talent Acquisition (TA) team is at the front of this – consistently looking for new ways to do this more efficiently, and evolving the way that we interact and partner with our business partners to ensure that we are true, strategic talent advisors and decision enablers. Job Summary: We are looking for a Talent Acquisition Leader – Americas Operations to lead and drive the recruiting strategy for our Americas IBX Operations business. The role is part of the Americas TA leadership team and the global IBX Operations mission-based leadership team. The role will lead team members across the region, playing a meaningful role in nurturing and selecting top talent to drive the growth of our business. We’re seeking a people manager, who will also be a strategic advisor to business leaders and human resource partners in the region and globally. You will work closely with TA leaders on the development and execution of the TA strategy for hiring across the region. With a focus on building our talent brand and driving our capability to use data to make our decisions, this role is instrumental in partnering with Talent Marketing and TA Operations to grow the function and build programs and talent channels. A leader in this role will find opportunities to innovate and drive strategic initiatives (including diversity hiring, pathway, and university recruiting programs) to deliver against workforce plans. They will have close interaction with global human resources counterparts and business leaders, and therefore, global exposure is desirable.

Responsibilities


  • Leading and developing the TA team responsible for recruitment for the assigned business; deep focus on coaching and mentoring while serving as a leader-teacher


  • Fostering a culture of innovation, strategy, and delivery excellence through strong business acumen, deep recruiting expertise, a commitment to learning


  • Developing solutions and strategies to deliver TA priorities for the business through a deep understanding of the current and future state of talent needs


  • Acting as a strategic partner to senior leaders across the business, including leading key initiatives in the region and globally


  • Leveraging TA operations and analytics capability to enable the team to influence stakeholders to make data-driven hiring decisions


  • Partnering with Talent Marketing to create robust marketing plans to build talent channels and programs across the functions and region


  • Working with strategic partners to drive diversity hiring and create new pathways to build pipeline


  • Partnering with our global/regional teams and leaders to build New to Career (NTC) programs for the region


  • Improving assessment, selection, the hiring process, and candidate experience and working with the leaders across the business to train hiring managers and interviewing teams


  • Partnering with TA leaders to develop TA strategy for the business group as a whole, whilst providing support and guidance to the wider team on individual functional strategies


  • Partnering with senior HR leaders and wider HR team – fostering an environment of shared ownership for talent outcomes


Requirements


  • Prior experience growing and developing teams – bringing out the best in others through the understanding of their capabilities, potential, and aspirations


  • Proven experience leading and developing a high-performing talent acquisition team/function across several countries in the North American region in a high-growth, fast-paced environment


  • Demonstrated capability to partner, communicate with, and influence senior leaders in the business with an ability to align a robust TA strategy with the direction of the organization and adjust to changing demands of the business


  • Ability to use research and data to focus resources as well as hold teams and business partners accountable for shared goals


  • Prior experience in maturing a TA function and developing hiring strategies across a region, as well as success in developing TA programs


  • Conscientious, forward-thinking, and collaborative – at Equinix we are not afraid to experiment quickly and think creatively to overcome market challenges and keep us ahead of the curve


Qualifications


  • 7-10 years+ demonstrated ability preferred


  • Bachelor's preferred

For Colorado residents, compensation range is $106K - $132K per year with 20% bonus.
