TransCore, (TRN) a subsidiary of Roper Technologies, Inc. (NYSE: ROP) is seeking a full-time SQL Software Developer to join our team in Nashville, TN.

Job Summary: Design, develop, test and modify software systems which perform critical, real-time processing of data collected by various toll collection equipment components and perform business logic decisions based upon the data collected. Participate in design discussions for toll collection systems new feature creation and/or existing functionality performance improvements. Use system traces and debugging tools for problem determination and system tuning. 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following:

• Database Creation, designing tables, writing T-SQL, stored procedures


• Develop reports using SQL Server Reporting Services. 

Education: 

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Computer Science, or related field OR equivalent post high school education and/or work-related experience.

 Required Skills & Experience: 

• 5+ yrs SQL development and solid understanding of RDBMS and coding and developing applications SQL


• Back End application development for large scale, high performance systems using Microsoft SQL Server 2014/2016/2019


• SQL Server experience includes performance tuning, query optimization, stored procedures, user functions, XML, and database triggers


• Well experienced in Microsoft SQL Reporting Services.


• SQL Developer who is strong in performance tuning, database design, database architecture


• Has experience with identifying and fixing performance bottlenecks


• Table Partitioning, Stored procedures, triggers and functions expertise.


• Modifying tables, views, stored procedures.


• Creating new objects for new data requirements; creating database backup jobs / solutions


• Analyze business requirements and technical requirements in order to develop and enhance complex code

Desired Skills: 

• Data Mart / SSIS Packages/Tableau/Python
