Job Summary      

Data Services is the team within ECAR which manages and shepherds data through the entire lifecycle of a mass tort settlement to support healthcare lien resolution and settlement services. Each program, while unique, undergoes a similar lifecycle and series of operations, including initial gathering/scrubbing/loading of client data and facilitating the lien resolution process through data exchange operations with Lienholders and/or their recovery contractors. The Operations Manager oversees a staff of approximately five to eight resources across the Mass Data Exchange and Upload Team units under Data Services. The Operations team is focused on production – ensuring internal and external deadlines are met, verifying outcomes and data integrity, and providing standard and custom reporting of case and program-level information.

Essential Job Functions  

      

Operations Management - 40%


  • Managing overall SLA performance


  • Ensuring team deliverables are met consistently, are timely and are accurate


  • Anticipating and proactively addressing issues/delays


  • Providing timely updates to all stakeholders on new processes and risks/issues


  • Issue resolution and escalation management


People Management - 30%


  • 1:1s


  • Recurring leadership meetings with their supervisors, leads and with peers


  • Training and career development


Strategy Initiatives - 15%


  • Assisting Senior Manager with the following:



    • Leading initiatives to develop the product lines their teams touch.


    • Constantly evaluating team structure, talent and roles to evolve with the need of the business.


    • Constantly evaluating workflows to identify opportunities for leaner processes, faster production time with decreased risk.


    • Partnering with fellow EMT/ECAR senior managers to streamline and utilize other areas of EMT/ECAR that do certain tasks better than us. It also includes learning best practices from fellow EMT/ECAR senior managers.


    • Building/maintaining a strong partnership with product development to ensure we are continuously improving our processes and platforms.



Project Management - 15%


  • Delivering on tasks assigned to your team in project plans led by other senior managers.


  • Participating in the design, kick-off and successful implementation of new projects.


Minimum Requirements

Education:

  • Four-year college degree or equivalent industry experience

Work Experience:


  • 5+ years experience in software development, operations, project management, production manufacturing, or similar environment with multiple projects or products in flight with complex interdependencies.


  • 2+ years team lead, supervisor, or management experience.


Skills & Abilities:


  • Understanding of relational database concepts, tools, performance, techniques, industry standards and best practices.


  • Understanding of software development methodologies and SQL.


  • Ability to work in an environment with deadlines and shifting priorities.


  • Strong problem-solving and analysis skills.


  • Strong organizational and time-management skills.


  • Strong “people” orientation.


  • Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing; able to adjust for intended audience. Fluency in English.


  • Desire and willingness to develop leadership skills and to lead by example.


  • Demonstrated ability to create and maintain cooperative professional relationships.
