Marketing Web Developer at alphabroder

Job Description:

Whether the item is a company golf shirt, a T-shirt from a rock concert or a souvenir shirt from a vacation destination, chances are it has passed through one of our many Distribution Centers across North America.


Broder Bros., Co. is one of the nation's largest distributors of trade, private label, and exclusive apparel brands to the imprinting, embroidery and promotional product industries, serving customers since 1919. It currently has 11 distribution centers across the U.S. and Canada with the capability to deliver to approximately 93 percent of the U.S. population in one day. Via its two divisions, Alphabroder and Alphabroder Canada Corp, the Company distributes industry-leading brands Fruit of the Loom, Gildan, Hanes and Jerzees, as well as, exclusive retail brands Adidas Golf, Alternative and Champion. In 2017, alphabroder and Prime Line merged to create the industry's first true 'One-Stop-Shop' for promotional products - raising the bar on convenience, service and solutions. And expanding alphabroder's product and service offering to include hard goods.(AS1) 


The Web Developer will be responsible for the design, layout, coding of alphabroder’s websites.  The Web Developer will be involved with the technical and graphical aspects of the websites – how the site looks, feels and interacts with out 95000 Customers.  Also involved with the maintenance and updating of the sites

 

 



  1. List major activities, which must be performed in order to carry out the purpose of the position as described above:
     

  • Independent project management and leadership


    • Development of milestones and deliverables


  • Write well designed, testable, efficient code by using best software development practices

  • Create website layout/user interface by using standard HTML/CSS practices

  • Integrate data from various back-end services and databases

  • Gather and refine specifications and requirements based on technical needs

  • Create and maintain software documentation

  • Be responsible for maintaining, expanding, and scaling our site

  • Stay plugged into emerging technologies/industry trends and apply them into operations and activities

  • Cooperate with web designers to match visual design intent


  • Proficiency in graphic design software including Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator, and other visual design tools

  • Proficiency in front-end development web programing languages such as HTML/CC

  • Good understanding of content management systems

  • Proven working experience in web programming

  • Excellent visual design skills

  • Hands-on experience with network diagnostics, network analytics tools

  • Basic knowledge of Search Engine Optimization process

  • Aggressive problem diagnosis and creative problem-solving skills

  • Strong organizational skills to juggle multiple tasks within the constraints of timelines and budgets with business acumen

  • Ability to work and thrive in a fast-paced environment, learn rapidly and master diverse web technologies and techniques.

  • BS in computer science or a related field
