Position Description:
POSITION SUMMARY:
Provides engineering support for manufacturing planning, new process development, and new product design. Assists shop floor with troubleshooting product and processing problems.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
•Read and interpret drawings.
•Troubleshoot day to day process issues, develop solutions, and monitor improvements.
•Lead in the determination of root cause.
•Generate drawings, tool orders, and work instructions as needed to support manufacturing.
•Specify tooling and process parameters for the manufacture of products.
•Design fixtures, tools, and gauges and have them built.
•Occasional use of hand and power tools.
•Occasional travel to customer or vendor facilities or trade shows.
•Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Position Requirements:
5-7 years of experience in a manufacturing environment
Ability to read and interpret drawings.
Proficient in GD&T (geometric dimensioning and tolerancing).
Troubleshooting experience/ability.
Ability to use standard shop floor inspection equipment such as calipers, micrometers, and indicator gauges. CAD drafting skills.
Experience with standard machining processes such as milling, turning, and grinding.
Ability to use Microsoft Office.
Demonstrated leadership skills, including excellent communication skills.
Ability to work independently with little to no supervision.
Plastic injection molding experience helpful. Lean manufacturing experience.
Bachelor’s Degree in Manufacturing, Mechanical Engineering or technical field required and/or equivalent years of experience.
