Working closely with internal and external resources, the Category Management team is responsible for developing critical insights, solutions, and tactical category action plans. The Associate Category Manager will be responsible for reporting needs day-to-day, basic category assessments, line review assistance, and will deliver on quality while driving category growth.

The Associate Category Manager will support a customer team by identifying business opportunities through leveraging multiple data sources, tools, and analytics. The Associate Category Manager will have a well-rounded understanding of merchandising and products and will utilize this knowledge to develop and implement plans that achieve category growth goals. This position partners with the members of the Category Management team, collaborates with other departments (Sales, Marketing, Research & Development, Purchasing, Business Intelligence & Analytics, Trade & Market Development, Planning and Development, and more) to identify sales growth opportunities and develop strategic and tactical plans.

Develop and implement plans to achieve growth plans
Conduct and lead analysis of category performance and determine insights from analysis
Use planograms to strategize on product placement, including strategies for space measurement, shelving, and cross-category opportunities
Utilize knowledge of category products, planning, and merchandising to make informed decisions to drive category growth
Partner with broader Category Management team to develop and achieve objectives for category
Collaborate with cross-functional partners to develop strategic and tactical solutions
Leverage shopper insights to create plans and presentations
Translate insights and data into recommended solutions and strategic plans

Experiences That Will Support Your Success
Bachelor's Degree
Minimum 3 years of experience in consumer goods, preferably in food or other high velocity impulse categories (FMCG)
Exceptional project management abilities, capable of prioritizing and handling multiple projects simultaneously under tight deadlines
Experience creating planograms in JDA or related software
Strong presentation skills
Solid knowledge of syndicated data sources (IRI, Nielsen, MPD, etc) and proficiency in MS Excel & MS PowerPoint
Solid knowledge of loyalty data platforms (84.51, Stratum, and Market6)
Experience in Sharepoint preferred
