VP of Mortgage Lending at Ent Credit Union

Job Description:

Responsible for overseeing the Production (sales and business development) and the Support (processing, underwriting, closing, secondary marketing, servicing and system support) of the first mortgage lending department. Provides a balance between quantity (volume) and quality (credit risk, documentation, and marketability) for the mortgage lending area. Provides technical support and direction to all staff to ensure compliance with all regulatory, investor, and company policy and procedures.


Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities:


Oversee the sales, business development and marketing of the mortgage loan operation.


Supervise the underwriting, processing, and closing of mortgage loans.


Financial analysis, including pricing of mortgage loan products based on the financial markets, reviewing the interest rate risk of the portfolio, and recommending mortgage sales.


Ensure compliance with all laws and regulations pertaining to mortgage lending.


Oversee servicing, including quality control, post-closing and secondary marketing.


Investor Reporting.


Minimum formal education required for this position:


Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Finance, or similar discipline


(Preferred) Master’s Degree in Business, Finance, or similar discipline


Minimum work experience:


15+ years in lending


10+ years in lending management that covers a wide variety of responsibilities.  These responsibilities must for include management of underwriting, processing, closing, and origination areas.


Technical or specialized knowledge/skills:



  • Analytical skills, including knowledge of loan pricing, loan sale profit and loss, loan underwriting requirements, along with compliance knowledge of Reg. B, Reg Z, HMDA, RESPA, etc.

  • Comprehension of mortgage lending compliance regulations, conventional, FHA and VA experience for structuring loan programs.

  • Extensive experience with FNMA DU automated underwriting system.

  • Knowledge of tax disbursement and servicing requirements

  • Advanced communication, relations, and coaching skills

  • Must be skilled in developing educational training materials and programs for staff

 Certifications required:



  • Colorado Driver’s License with an acceptable driving record

Environmental, physical and psychological requirements: 



  • Must be able to sit or stand for prolonged periods of time in a climate controlled environment. Must be able to use fingers, hands, wrists for repetitive tasks such as typing, using a mouse, handling paper, currency, or coin, and operating a telephone.   Demands for visual and auditory acuity are typical of an office environment.  Must be able to interact via email, telephone, or in person with diplomacy, tact, and courtesy with all members under varying circumstances.  Must be able to lift up to 40 lbs.

$167,190.40 to $250,764.80. This position is eligible for an annual corporate bonus based upon performance.
