We are looking for an entrepreneur in the learning and assessment space who wants to join a dynamic team to reimagine how we design, deliver and recognize the way competency impacts the value of content that accelerates success for individuals in finance and accounting.

A key strategic imperative of the organization is to lead the upskilling and reskilling of the accounting profession to drive its ongoing vibrancy and relevance. This leader has the responsibility and accountability to bring deep knowledge and commitment to innovation in:


  • Driving the continuous transformation of our learning and assessment portfolio to deliver successful adult learning outcomes by creating, shaping and incubating new digital and blended learning experiences and digital engagement. Includes the extensive continuing professional development, learning and assessment offerings for CPAs, CGMAs and the broader finance and accounting ecosystem.

  • Designing and implementing creative, leading edge educational content and digital learning experiences that redefine and improve student and member engagement and outcomes.

  • Developing learning programs for CPA firms and corporate enterprises, including pathways to achieving specialty credentials, badges and certificates.

  • Ensuring pedagogical coherence of our overall offerings and research-informed design across learning, products, and content.  Embedding learning science research into digital learning experiences.

  • Building recognition of the Association as a global leader in trusted and valued learning opportunities.

 

*This position is 6-9 month contract with opportunity for permanent hire. 

 

Accountabilities & Responsibilities:


  • 35% - Lead the transformation and successful implementation of the Association?s global learning and assessment strategy with the goal of increasing engagement, value and efficiencies.  Lead the design and development of learning content to drive value to the profession supporting competency development of members, students, engaged professionals as well as Firms and Employers.

  • 20% - Develop and implement strategies to enhance learning experiences and drive new business models across online, blended and technology-enhanced initiatives.  Understand the emerging needs of students, members, Firms and Employers and design modern, innovative learning experiences to deliver learning outcomes. Advances learning content and innovations in line with learner demands and evolving skills and competency requirements of the profession.   

  • 15% - Lead the design and execution of the learning portfolio as part of our Enterprise Content Strategy (including ongoing evolution of content & products, delivery methods and technologies) to maximise value gained, ensuring delivery of expected revenue and margin targets, and member value aspirations.

  • 10% - Collaborates with subject matter experts across the Association, consultants, authors, external partners, members and students to design and test high impact innovations built on sound learning pedagogy and learning experience design methodologies.

  • 10% - Maximise speed to market, efficiency, economies of scale, cross-skilling opportunities and reuse of content to deliver personalized content for members, ensuring outputs are produced in a timely manner to meet Association priorities.  Drive the evolution of the portfolio to increase sales, profit margins, reputation, and strategic integration of delivery platforms

  • 10% - Provide design consultation across the Association to advance innovative digital learning initiatives

Required Experience, Qualifications & Education:


  • Actively embrace challenges, thrive on solving tough problems, demonstrate passion about digital learning and how it impacts the future of higher education and the accounting & finance profession, and enjoy working within a dynamic, fast-paced team environment.

  • Creative vision and passion for learning development as well as demonstrated success in implementing and delivering innovations to market meeting learner success metrics and organizational goals

  • 15+ years of extensive experience that includes progressive leadership roles in learning departments within leading commercial learning providers, CPA or consulting firms, or corporations

  • University undergraduate degree in education, business administration or a closely related subject.

 

Preferred Experience, Qualifications & Education:


  • Advanced or master's degree in education, psychology or management, strong experience with learning technology, instructional design, behavioural psychology and educational psychology.

  • Preference for Certified Professional in Talent Development (CPTD)certification or Chartered Institute of Personnel Development (CIPD) qualification

  • Experience in accounting and finance profession
