Senior Quality Engineer

Reporting to the Department Head of Quality Assurance, the Senior Quality Engineer is responsible for monitoring, creating, documenting, developing, and maintain quality processes and procedures in a semiconductor manufacturing environment. This position reports to the Department Head of Quality Assurance, IXYS LLC, USA in Milpitas, California

About the Job:

• Responsible for ISO and QMS support efforts. Must have strong knowledge of ISO 9




• Drive the QA departments CAPA which include SCAR, internal audit findings and working with QA Department manager to provide solutions and evidence required to close out any finding.




• Monitor approved subcontractors/suppliers for performance metrics; on time deliveries, quality issues, process change notifications and more.




• Conduct subcontractor/supplier on site audit on a scheduled audit process.




• Maintain quality documentation/history for engineering DESIGN REVIEWS.




• Work closely with failure analysis and reliability testing to support their activities and initiatives.




• Understand and Perform gage RR and EOE (Electrical Outlier) calculations based on gathered test data.

About You:

• BS in Engineering, Mathematics, or Quality Systems.




• Quality Systems training/certifications: CQA, CQS-ISO




• 3+ years of experience in a semi conductor/electronics environment




• Semiconductor device background – discrete assembly, processing, wafer fab: Process Engineering.




• ISO 9001-2015 Quality Management Systems understanding.




• Statistics – as applied to quality systems and device quality controls




•  Supplier Audit - Conduct a supplier site audit and host a supplier QMS audits.




• Experience with Medical or Automotive quality management systems.




• Understanding of Semiconductor Failure Analysis processes.




• Supplier Monitoring – CAPA/SCAR Tracking




• Supplier Monitoring – LEAD Auditor trained




• Supplier Monitoring – Data collection and processing




• Understanding of Semiconductor Failure Analysis processes.




• Lean Six Sigma – Trained/Green/Red/Black Belt a plus




• Prior experience with conducting Incoming/Outgoing QA inspection.




• Prior experience with training and documentation processes.




• MS Word, Excel, Math CAD, Minitab




• RoHS, REACh, Conflict Minerals restrictions and regulations.




• Travel approximately 5%
