RiverTech LLC is seeking qualified candidates for a position as a courseware developer on a team developing instructor-led training and interactive courseware.  The Computer Based Training Specialist (CBTS) is a core member of an Interactive Courseware (ICW)/Instructor-Led Training (ILT) courseware development team, working directly with Instructional System Designers and Multimedia Specialists/Graphic Artists to assist in the design and development of instructionally sound training solutions. Working with Subject Matter Experts (SME), the CBTS provides technical input and interpretation of Advanced Helicopter Training System publications and courseware content and is the primary courseware and content developer on the team. The ideal candidate has prior ILT and ICW development experience on a courseware development team. This is a Jacksonville, FL opportunity that requires full-time in office support.

Specific Duties/Job Requirements:

• Design/develop lesson outlines and script storyboards

• Develop ICW/ILT and supporting documents

• Select instructional media, materials, and equipment to meet learning objectives

• Use appropriate industry, DOD, government standards and specifications

• Excellent knowledge and experience with applications including MS Word, MS PowerPoint, Adobe Acrobat, Adobe Captivate, and other COTS authoring tools

• Work directly with graphics specialists, instructional system designers, courseware developers to meet all customer requirements and deliver training products within a budget and timeframe

• Occasional travel may be required

• Other assigned tasks

Minimum Qualifications:



  • Must have courseware development experience


  • Must possess excellent written/grammar skills


  • Must have an understanding of training product standards and ISD processes


  • Must have courseware development experience with Adobe Captivate 



Preferred Experience:

• Experience with USN training product standards and ISD process

• Prior experience on a contractor courseware development team for DOD products

• USN Master Training Specialist (MTS) or Instructor
