Description

The Electrician performs preventive maintenance and repairs of electrical equipment and systems. Electrical work may be performed in a number of areas, including heating, refrigeration, motors, fire alarms, and generator equipment.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

- Performs preventative maintenance and repairs of electrical equipment and systems.

- Inspects, maintains, cleans, repairs, test and adjusts a variety of electrical equipment to include motors, switchgear, circuit breakers, lighting circuits switches, master clocks and distribution panels.

- Perform preventative maintenance and service calls

- Perform inspections

- Troubleshoot

- Work requires an abundance of walking, bending, kneeling and working in uncomfortable positions

QUALIFICATIONS:

- Must have a current Journeyman Electrician License (DC)

- Must currently have of be ale to obtain a L Level Security Clearance

- Must have a minimum of 5 years of experience as an Electrician

- Must have a general knowledge of motors, switchgear, emergency generation, UPS, Fire, HVAC and related electrical building systems

- Must be able to read and understand blue prints

- Must have troubleshooting skills

- Must be able to pass a background check and drug screen
