Description
The Analyst, Compensation reflects the mission, vision, and values of NM, adheres to the organizations Code of Ethics and Corporate Compliance Program, and complies with all relevant policies, procedures, guidelines and all other regulatory and accreditation standards.
The Analyst, Compensation works collaboratively with financial and operational leadership to enhance strategic physician compensation decision making for NM. This role is responsible for regularly producing accurate and insightful reports and analyses in a timely and efficient manner and will provide analytical support for a) the development and measurement of production, compensation, and operational targets and models, and; b) the coordination of the development, implementation, monitoring, and updating of NM physician compensation plans.
Responsibilities:
- Physician Compensation:
- Build and maintain dynamic models that will allow for regular refinement/analysis of physician compensation plans, including various scenarios and plan changes
- Work with Service Group and Department leadership on ad-hoc analyses designed to support discussions and decisions related to individual physicians compensation.
- Coordinate with NM BI/Analytics to perform regular quality control analyses, ensuring accurate NM physician compensation calculations and other model outputs.
- Assist NM Payroll with the interpretation of compensation plan results, ensuring timely and accurate payments.
- Update weekly change files with appropriate physician compensation and demographic information for onboarding
- Assist in the planning, development, and maintenance of the web based compensation tool.
- Maintains physician confidence by keeping information appropriately confidential
- Financial Performance:
- Assist in monthly review and analysis of operational performance relative to NM's productivity goals.
- Work with NM leadership on the assessment of key compensation metrics and other ad-hoc analyses.
- Help ensure the accuracy and timely dissemination of operational dashboard reports and other standard management information.
- Provide analytical support for designated compensation special projects as assigned
- Produce analyses to inform the annual budget planning process, helping to ensure the creation of accurate, realistic, and optimized fiscal year budgets
- Build robust analytical models to analyze new/potential growth and strategic initiatives.

Qualifications
Required:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Human Resources, Business or other related field.
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office programs, particularly Microsoft Excel.
- High level of precision and attention to detail.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Preferred:
- 0-2 years of experience in healthcare or finance related setting
- Understanding of and experience working with relational databases.
- Experience with financial modeling, budget, and strong business acumen.
- Experience in administration of compensation plans.
