Product Marketing Manager
Product Team | New York City or Santa Clara

Location: NYC or Santa Clara

The Product Marketing team at Chegg is results-oriented and data driven and is responsible for generating customer insights that inform the Chegg Services product subscription growth strategy, go-to-market plans and post launch optimizations.
We are looking for a Product Marketing Manager who loves understanding customer pain points and student needs and is always looking for ways to deliver a better customer experience. You will understand the competitive landscape and help inform the product roadmap. You will lead with a test and learn mindset and will strategically manage an overall marketing plan, both executing as an individual product marketer, as well as coordinating with and leveraging team members across the product, business, marketing teams.

Responsibilities:
- Lead go-to-market and strategic marketing plans and launches for new and existing products that drive results within our acquisition funnel, rooted in data and insights
- Work with the business and analytics team to develop KPIs and goals and rapidly evaluate and adapt marketing programs and A/B tests based on results
- Deeply understand market needs, market context and competition by segment to build unique and differentiated positioning and messaging for Chegg Services projects, working closely with consumer insights and user research.
- Maintain strong cross-team communication and performance reporting, including at the executive level. Partner closely with Product Management and Marketing teams to develop strategy, influence product roadmaps and advocate for experiences that drive customer consideration and results.
- Deliver on acquisition and growth targets leveraging data-backed ideas with flawless execution working across product, marketing, data science, business and analytics.
Requirements:
- 4+ years of consumer product marketing experience, including deep expertise in end-to-end Product Marketing supporting marketing strategy development and cross-functional execution
- A highly analytical mindset with an ROI-focused approach to marketing investment
- Knowledge of SEO, SEM and content marketing required
- Results, and action-oriented mindset with strong desire to test and learn and execute on learnings with experience using A/B testing platforms like Optimizely
- Strong communication and writing skills - across all levels including executives
- Experience working cross-functionally with engineering and product teams
Preferred:
- Previous experience marketing to students
- Subscription marketing experience
- MBA is a plus
