Payments and Core Banking team is adding a Test Lead to expand growth in Testing Organization and to support SVB across all platforms and branches. This role will be reporting to the IT Test Manager, and presenting an excellent opportunity for a passionate testing professional to innovate, drive and deliver with high quality in support of SVB clients. We are looking for a thought leader in the field of Software Testing, with successful delivery of multiple complex projects in a mid-large size organization.
The Payments and Core Banking Test Lead position is vital for implementation and establishment of a quality process in our new Testing Organization. This critical and much needed role is to insure successful delivery of organizational transformation and goals across all business verticals at SVB, and delivering high quality product for our clients. Payments and Core Banking Test Lead will oversee all aspects of quality assurance including establishing metrics, applying industry best practices, and developing new tools and processes to ensure quality goals are met. In this role, Test lead will provide oversite to multiple projects, building working partnership with business and development partners. The lead will work closely with outsourced partners monitoring progress and providing timely support across all deliverables under P&CB vertical.
Responsible for the overall quality of IT projects and changes through execution of all aspects of the Software Development and Testing Life Cycle
Manage and validate multiple environments, test data to ensure timely and flawless delivery
Support multiple projects, coordinate testing activities across organizations and teams
Develop test strategy, plan and create test cases, execute test scenarios and participate in troubleshooting collaborating with development partners
Working knowledge testing APIs and web services
Oversee the planning and execution of testing activities across all deliverables
Develop expert knowledge of the software under test and any other software products related to the software under test needed for accurate test development and execution
Provide testing support and conduct working troubleshooting sessions with development partners for timely resolution
Streamline the testing process by introducing automation, leveraging tools and setting goals to reduce time and effort
Effectively manage risk by understanding and defining areas at risk during all stages or cycles of the project

Complete project estimates for project and release. Tracks and report estimates vs actuals for continuous improvement.
Review test artifacts for projects and releases. Define quality end goal or the business initiative
Provide executive summary for all test activities with an unbiased recommendation on status of quality
Coordinate with team members for testing activities, participate in requirement ambiguity, use case, user story review, conduct analysis; define scope and testing coverage
Maintain working relationship with project stakeholders, domain leads across all domains and verticals
Grow team member skillset by ensuring education, training, and knowledge transfer
Influence and refine test strategy to align to SVB's business needs
Lead a team of test engineers for delivering new and enhancing existing business solutions and capability while ensuring flawless delivery
5 years as a test lead with previous hands on testing experience
Working knowledge with Agile and Waterfall methodologies
Previous Financial or Banking experience
Proven experience managing or working with offshore vendors or in multi locations
Excellent verbal and communication skills
Solid knowledge of testing methodologies and SDLC (Solution Delivery Life Cycle)
