As a Senior Java Software Engineer, you will participate in project planning sessions with project managers, business analysts and team members to analyze business requirements and outline the proposed IT solution. You will participate in design reviews and provide input to the design recommendations; incorporate security requirements into design; and provide input to information/data flow, and understand and comply to Project Life Cycle Methodology in all planning steps. You will also adhere to IT Control Policies throughout design, development and testing and incorporate Corporate Architectural Standards into application design specifications. Additionally, you will document the detailed application specifications, translate technical requirements into programmed application modules and develop/enhance software application modules. You will participate in code reviews and ensure that all solutions are aligned to pre-defined architectural specifications; identify/troubleshoot application code-related issues; and review and provide feedback to the final user documentation.

This role requires a wide variety of strengths and capabilities, including:


  • BS/BA degree or equivalent experience
  • Expertise in application, data, and infrastructure architecture disciplines
  • Advanced knowledge of architecture and design across all systems
  • Proficiency in multiple modern programming languages
  • Knowledge of industry-wide technology trends and best practices
  • Keen understanding of financial control and budget management
  • Ability to work in large, collaborative teams to achieve organizational goals
  • Passionate about building an innovative culture
  • Expertise in application design, coding. Experience on Java 8/J2EE distributed application development, REST
  • Firm understanding of Domain model micro services, Spring Boot, Netflix frameworks, API gateway, CRM Platform etc.
  • Experience of building services in cloud
  • Experience with messaging (Kafka) based integration and micro services
  • Programming with NoSQL/NPL a plus (Cassandra)
  • Familiar with big data technologies. Spark, Scala, HDFS.
  • Ability to develop reports, dashboards, and processes to continuously monitor data quality and integrity
  • Ability to interpret system/business requirements and prepare specification and design document
  • Experience in following java coding standards and knowledge of tools including Git, Maven
  • Demonstrated experience with Java performance tuning to identify and optimize code, experience in multi-threaded/concurrent programming and databases including DB2
  • Experience in XML and Service Oriented Architecture
  • Knowledge of modern software stacks and of continuous delivery into production
