In this role, the Architecture Governance Practice lead will maintain an audited and progressively automated governance practice and tooling, end to end, that delivers to the New Banking Architecture (NBA) big rules and principles (compliant) as the Consumer and Community Banking line of business transforms its products and product architecture standards. This individual will be integral to advancing portfolio management insights and rationalization opportunities as the portfolio changes in composition and migrates to the data center and multi-cloud infrastructure. The role will focus on three primary objectives:

  • Serve as Architecture Governance Practice and Automation Champion

  • Development of processes that support effective management of the architectural portfolio and site portal/collateral

  • Modernization of Governance and Application Portfolio Management and Reporting.


  • Qualifications

    This role requires a wide variety of strengths and capabilities, including:


    • BS/BA degree or equivalent experience

    • Expertise in application, data and infrastructure architecture disciplines

    • Fluency in architecture and design across all systems

    • Knowledge in at least one area of technical architecture

    • Strategic thinking and passion for business strategy and business processes

    • Experience in risk and risk control compliance

    • Ability to work collaboratively in teams and develop meaningful relationships to achieve common goals

    • Experience in technology architecture

    • Experience of application architectural standards

    • Experience in process optimization, simplification and automation

    • Strong communication skills and the ability to explain complex ideas, processes and recommendations effectively at all levels including senior management

    • Experience in chairing and coordinating meetings and large forums involving senior stakeholders

    • Good negotiating and influencing skills

    • Strategic thinking and passion for business strategy and business processes

    • Ability to work collaboratively in teams and develop meaningful relationships to achieve common goals.

    • Proven ability to work across multiple teams and operate effectively in a global organization.

    • Project management skills ideally with a technology background a plus
