Responsibilities
Dematic has a critical need for a Hosting Engineer, to be based out of our Adderbury Office. The primary responsibilities for this individual would be to install, configure, and maintain application software. This is a key position in our Hosting team within our Infrastructure group, which is responsible for designing and developing scalable, maintainable, and highly available network capabilities, allowing us to meet our business objectives. This is an attractive position for someone with a passion for web hosting who is excited about the opportunity to wear multiple hats in a highly visible setting.
Essential Role and Responsibilities
Lead in the design, implementation, and innovation of on-premise VMware based technologies and infrastructure.
Assist in the design, implementation, and innovation of our Microsoft Azure Infrastructure.
Assist in the configuration, and troubleshooting of Azure Compute instances, Azure Backup, Azure Storage Monitor, Snapshot, Azure Storage, VNet, Load Balancers and RBAC.
Participate in end-to-end migrations from on-prem servers to Azure.
Develop platform and infrastructure to match business needs and future needs.
Work with teams to create scalable Virtualization solutions, Azure and VMware, to match business needs.
Tackle demanding projects on a time-sensitive schedule.
Configure VMs for optimum cost, performance, and security.
Define and follow change control parameters for resources.
Utilize and maintain CMDB to ensure continuous documentation of resources.
Monitor and fulfill customer requests in a timely fashion.
Update job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading professional publications; maintaining personal networks; participating in professional organizations.

Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or Engineering, or equivalent experience is preferred.
Typically, 5+ years of successful experience in related field and successful demonstration of Key Responsibilities and Knowledge as presented above. Advanced degree MAY be substituted for experience, where applicable.
5+ years’ experience with the Azure platform, Windows Server, IIS, and SQL Server
5+ years’ experience with system administration of Windows server-side infrastructure and associated technologies on physical servers.
5+ years’ experience
Previous experience with network or systems administering, managing or engineering preferred.
5+ years’ experience with added and removed Windows server features and roles such as Terminal servers (RDS), DNS, DHCP, etc.
5+ years’ experience with Azure IaaS and technical cloud engineering and administration.
Incumbent must be able to work independently, in a highly matrixed and remote organization.
He or she must be very detail oriented and possess strong written/verbal communication skills and documentation skills (including Visio diagrams).
Demonstrates a good grasp of knowledge and principles of field of specialization and applies through successful completion of assignments.
Successfully applies knowledge of fundamental concepts, practices, and procedures of particular areas of specialization.
