Position Description:
AMETEK is seeking a Field Service Engineer to be based in either our Newark, DE, Pittsburgh, PA or Houston, TX location.

• Primary responsibilities include demonstrated skilled support of Process Instruments products, field repairs, maintenance, and troubleshooting
• Be self-sufficient in terms of scheduling, making travel arrangements, preparation, delivery, reporting service business, and escalating problems only as required
• Support in the areas of quoting repair costs to customers and providing customer with calibration and/or troubleshooting assistance
• Identify business opportunities and pass along to Sales & Marketing
• Identify personal development needs based on skills, talents, or experience and agree a specialized development plan with your supervisor
• Provide customer product training and perform other duties as required
• Other duties as required

Position Requirements:
• Minimum 3- 5 years experience as a Field Service Engineer
• A.S. degree in electronics, equivalent military training, or prior work experience with a solid understanding of instrumentation
• Understanding of process engineering in the markets we serve (Oil and Gas, Specialty Chemicals, Microprocessing, etc.)
• Must be capable of training/mentoring junior FSE’s, Distributors, and end-user customers in the troubleshooting and maintenance of AMETEK PIBU instruments
• Demonstrated progress in successful troubleshooting and maintenance among one-to-many product lines and technologies
• Earned respect of colleagues, customers and management
•Ability to handle difficult customer interface scenarios International travel as required to address customer problems
•Must be available and capable to travel by air, land and sea using commercial means of transportation
• Ability to identify business opportunities and pass along to sales and management colleagues
• Work to support Distribution Partners as able to encourage satisfaction to end-user customers
• Champion with regards to safety – maintain safe work environment always
