Provides safe and secure environment for all persons on premises by conducting patrols of hospital property, answering calls and documenting activities. Investigates and makes recommendations. Ca. Drivers license, Guard Card, baton card and pepper spray certifications are required. Off shifts and compensated overtime may be required. Education: High school diploma or G.E.D. Experience/Training: Six months of experience in Security or related field. Licenses/Certifications: Current CA driveras license and must be insurable under hospitalas liability insurance. CA guard card, OC/pepper spray and baton permits. Current American Heart Association BLS provider. Skills: In house 8 hour AVADE training to be completed within the first month of hire. Must be renewed annually as part of an annual 40 hour Security Officer training program. Initial and annual trauma aStop the Bleeda training within one month of hire. Read, write, speak English fluently. Basic computer knowledge, to include, but not limited to, Microsoft Office, and other hospital related programs. Basic report writing skills.
