POSITION SUMMARY:

The Consumer Customer Advocate will act as the primary conduit for information between the Operations and Sales Teams for Consumer and other major customers, including interfacing with Consumer as required.

KEY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Ensuring communication between Operations and Sales, including the Customer as required for the purpose of improving customer satisfaction and increased Morgan Corporation performance to customer requirements. This includes but not limited to:
  • Review inbound Consumer orders to ensure routing to optimum plant for best on-time delivery performance
  • Expediting issues for the plants and sales
  • Evaluating issues and reason codes for OOC(Out of Compliance)
  • Manage CD date changes using the "Consumer Commit Date Change Report"
  • Maintain communications of plant lead times with Consumer corporate purchasing group.
  • Rebalance Consumer existing orders between plants to maximize on-time delivery performance
  • Summarizing key areas of plant capacity backlog
  • Review plant schedules and ensure all units are scheduled to meet customer delivery expectations (use of weekly CD change report).
  • Coordinate and assist in BOM audits on one of each model built in the current year.
  • Roll final schedule up into a revenue plan
  • Follow-up on late chassis and customer supplied materials.
  • Create an Agenda and manage the weekly consumer call with operations and support groups
  • Produce monthly delivery performance reports.
  • Track and communicate units in delay (RED WIP) from each plant (plant errors, material delays, holds, etc.)
  • Publish exception report and follow-up on exceptions.
  • Maintain list of and communicate long lead raw materials.
  • Maintain problem order logs
  • Quote problems
  • Order entry problems
  • Engineering holds
  • Plant red flags and deviation requests
  • Assisting in Traffic oversight
  • Act as the liaison between sales, engineering, manufacturing, purchasing, chassis OEM'S and customers
  • Schedule all of the pilot and customer visits. Send out detailed meeting notes of findings from each pilot. Follow up to make sure the findings do not reoccur at the next inspection.
  • Along with PIC Group work on completed U-Haul deliveries...drive away. This includes setting up all of the required delivery locations requested by U-Haul.
  • In daily communication with all of the Consumer locations on anything from starts, completions, material problems.....am the go to person they call for anything.
  • (Penske, U-Haul and Budget) on license plate delivery and any issues that arise from them
  • Keep Sales Reps up to date on any and all activities going on. Make the entire Consumer process flow and succeed.
  • Communicate daily/weekly/Hourly with the chassis OEM's to confirm chassis are flowing to meet demand
  • Generate tracking tools/files to be sent to all OEM's
  • Chase U-Haul Customer supplied material
  • Order any replacement parts that may be needed throughout the run
  • for all locations to cover any excess material needed prior to finalizing the payoff at the end of the run.
  • Document current processes and create tools for Operations and Sales to improve the management of these accounts.
  • Establish a proactive and effective communication process and provide subsequent training that is a result of system changes, new tools, and/or enhancements.
  • Fill in as back up for Corporate Materials team members as it applies to Consumer.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
  • EXPERTISE REQUIRED:

  • BS/BA degree in business or related field, preferred.
  • APICS and PMP certification, preferred.
  • Understanding of all functional aspects of Scheduling, Project Management, and Materials Management.
  • Advanced knowledge of ERP/MRP systems. AS/400 and J.D. Edwards experience a plus.
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, analytical skills.
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Excel.
  • *Some travel up to 15% may be required.
