The YMCA of the Pikes Peak Region Youth Development Department is seeking dynamic individuals who are passionate and dedicated to youth development. As a cause driven leader in the YMCA, you will focus on building relationships with youth and effectively cultivate relationships with all families, teachers and school personnel throughout the school year. As the on-site director, you will be responsible for leading and supervising on-site staff to fully engage youth daily in a Before and After school setting through planned programmatic activities such as Math, Literacy, Physical Activity, STEM, Arts and Drama, Service Projects, and More. This position requires a high level of organization and dependability in order to meet all program requirements including compliance with state licensing agencies.

Currently hiring in all regions of Colorado Springs and Falcon
SHIFT REQUIREMENTS:
Ability to work a split shift daily Monday-Friday, hours required 6:00 am - 8:45 am and 2:30 pm - 6:00 pm
As well as monthly week-day evening and Saturday morning meetings.

MINIMUM CRITERIA FOR CANDIDATES:

Applicants must be at least 21 years of age.
Verifiable education or training in work with school-age children in such areas as recreation, education, scouting or 4-H; and the program director must have completed at least one of the following qualifications:

A four (4) year college degree with a major such as recreation, outdoor education, education with a specialty in art, elementary or early childhood education, or a subject in the human service field; or
Two years of college training and six (6) months (910 hours) of satisfactory and verifiable full-time or equivalent part-time, paid or volunteer, experience, since attaining the age of eighteen (18), in the care and supervision of four (4) or more children;
Three years (5460 hours) of satisfactory and verifiable full-time or equivalent part-time, paid or volunteer, experience and one of the following qualifications:

Complete six semester hours, or nine quarter hours in course work from a regionally accredited college or university; or CODE OF COLORADO REGULATIONS 12 CCR 2509-8 Social Services Rules 291
40 clock hours of training in course work applicable to school-age children and the department-approved courses in injury prevention, and playground safety for School-Aged Child Care Centers within the first nine months of employment.
Satisfactory experience includes experience in the care and supervision of four or more children from the ages of four (4)-eighteen (18) years old, unrelated to the individual, since attaining the age of eighteen

Be able to pass a criminal background check and submit to fingerprinting.
