The Respiratory Therapy Services Manager will join a department that directly supports the community driven focus of this Medical Center. 

Reporting to the Director of the Cardiopulmonary Department, the Respiratory Therapy Services Manager will coordinate a fluid and cohesive work atmosphere in a department of skilled Respiratory Therapists. The Pulmonary Services Manager will act as liaison between the Department Director / Hospital Administration and the clinical leads in the department; ensuring all are fully competent in providing the highest quality of care to patients.

The Respiratory Therapy Services Manager will oversee the departmental functions of a unit that sees patients with both acute and chronic dysfunction of the cardiopulmonary system. The Respiratory Therapists in the department manage life support mechanical ventilation systems and artificial airways, monitor equipment related to cardiopulmonary therapy, analyze blood samples to determine levels of oxygen and other gases, assess lung capacity, conduct rehabilitation activities, and continue to educate patients as they undergo these therapies. The skilled professionals here always have the patients care in mind.

The Respiratory Therapy Services Manager will oversee the administrative activities for the department. Working closely with Finance and Operations Leaders at the hospital, the Manager will be responsible for the Cardiopulmonary Unit’s budget and financial goals. They will maintain capital equipment records, to include new acquisitions, trading, selling and tracking of capital equipment, while also overseeing departmental non-capital equipment issues. The Manager will draft new departmental procedures, structure standards, techniques and competencies, while reviewing / revising existing ones. They will participate in departmental QM plan / JCAHO readiness, attend meetings, and participate on committees as needed. Through participation in educational programs and workshops, the Manager will be expected to enhance the professional growth and development of this vital department. As Services Manager, they will have direct supervision of the Cardiopulmonary staff, including performance evaluations and counseling.
