Job Description

Our Private Banking partners need the support of a client specialist to deliver our First Horizon concierge banking quality service to our clients. You'll serve as the backbone for our relationship managers providing full administrative and lending support while assisting the clients with large and complex accounts. This position is also responsible for the handling of the entire process of any commercial, retail or consumer loan application through to the closing while following all policy and procedures in a manner that is consistent with the company's financial objective.If you are detail-oriented and can interact closely with clients, you should apply for this role.
A day in the Life of a Client Relationship Assistant:
- Facilitate in all aspects of the portfolio and support of Private Banking Relationship Managers.Assist clients' operational needs, bank products/services needs and in all areas of the client's relationship with the bank
- Serves as the primary contact and central information source for customer after the initial sale and plays a key role in maintaining a positive relationship; ensuring customer satisfaction
- Assist with wire transfers, account maintenance, and transaction research requests and follow guidelines for administering
- Communicate with external liaisons involved in transactions as well as internal associates involved in loan decisions
- Support Relationship Managers loan portfolios - clear loan, collateral and deposit exceptions, credit exceptions, insurance processing, and assist with past dues
- Open new personal and business accounts ensuring all required documentation is obtained from the client
- Independently able to identify clients' operational needs and bank products/services to meet these needs
- Authorize payment and fees of commercial client overdrafts
- Approve and process commercial client's withdrawals on lines of credit
- Communicate with clients, attorney's, insurance companies, title companies, and various other professionals
- Assist in ordering appraisals, flood determinations, UCC's and familiar with OFAC
- Work closely with bankers, underwriters, and support partners to ensure efficient loan operations, processing and legal documentation for satisfactory closing of loans to clients within a timely manner
- Work closely with Bankers, Underwriters, and loan operations to ensure satisfactory on-going monitoring of loans to clients
- Work closely with Bankers, Treasury Management, and deposit operations to ensure satisfactory on-going monitoring of depository/Treasury Management accounts/services to clients
- Resolves operational issues regarding bank systems. Assumes ownership of job responsibilities
- This position requires compliance with the S.A.F.E Mortgage Licensing Act of 2008 and all related regulations
- Assist other administrative assistant and client specialist in other departments with administrative support when needed

QUALIFICATIONS:
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.
- Bachelor's degree in business, finance, economics or equivalent experience preferred. High school diploma or equivalent experience required
- 4-6 years of experience in the banking/financial service industry with client service exposure; experience in processing retail and/or commercial loans. Previous experience as a commercial or private client lending assistant roles preferred.
- Experience in managing a portfolio of affluent and high net worth clients
- Exceptional communication skills, both written and oral; ability to interact up, down, and across organizations
- Ability to breakdown complex objectives into discrete steps and tasks to facilitate successful implementation
- Strong attention to detail and prioritization skills; self-motivated and entrepreneurial attitude
- Familiar with Laser Pro and attorney prepared documents with both domestic and international wire transfers.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS:
Basic Skills:
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
- Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
REASONING ABILITY:
Intermediate Skills:
- Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
- Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
COMPUTER AND OFFICE EQUIPMENT SKILLS:
Working knowledge of Microsoft Applications, i.e., Email software (ex. MS Outlook), Word processing software (ex. MS Word), Spreadsheet software (ex. MS Excel), Internet browsing software (ex. MS Explorer), and 10-key calculator and Facsimile machine.
