Summary
The Hospital MMIS Coordinator supports hospital Supply Chain management, by managing the features, functionality and data of the Materials Management Information System (MMIS) and the EDI system. Keeps current all MMIS and EDI suite applications, functions, enhancement, upgrades and reporting tools relating to Supply Chain Management. Responsible for file maintenance and the accuracy of the data within the hospital item master file and price file, and for report development and generation from the MMIS and EDI systems. Responsible to see that all interfaces are monitored and working properly. Also responsible for developing and implementing a training program relating to Supply Chain Management for users of the MMIS and EDI applications. The MMIS Coordinator reports to the Manager of Purchasing and Contracts, participating in system troubleshooting, problem solving, and future product development activities.

Education & Experience:

- Two to four years of supply chain management and/or technical information system experience required.

- Bachelors degree in Information Technology or Business Administration or related healthcare field is preferred.

- Proficient in Microsoft applications; Excel, Access & Word at an intermediate level.

- Ability to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing is required.

- Proven track record in planning, organizing and completing work projects is required.

- Knowledge and understanding of hospital materials management information systems (MMIS) is Preferred. (Lawson software experience highly desirable)
